I'm the guy whose mom thinks she's constipated but is not. She has frequent panic or stress attacks. I think I know now what triggers the attacks. Any suggestions?

When the subject of "constipation" comes up and I disagree with her it turns into a "panic attack" or if you were dealing with children you would say they are "pouting" until they get their way. Seeing her MD next week. Any suggestions or ideas?

Talk to the doctor privately about a placebo, not a real laxative that you can give her.

But I'm fairly certain that if you solve this problem, her anxiety will shift elsewhere. Have you rejected the idea of exploring a doctor who will prescribe an antidepressant with antianxiety properties?
