I've been living with my mother to take care of her, but my sister is taking things. What rights do I have?

I've been living with my mother to take care of her and be there when she needs me. My father passed away 4 years ago. Know mom is dying and my sister was appointed POA. Know shes using this power to control the house that she doesn't live in, and been taking stuff. The will hasn't even been read, and she says I'm taking this because I got mom this and trying to control me and my brother. What rights do I have? The roommate that's been renting before this all happened.

Dear Loli,

If you think your sister is abusing her POA status, please check with an elder law attorney. Another avenue available would be to contact social services or Adult Protective Services and see what other resources the family could access.
