How can I get compensation for managing mom's affairs?

I recently placed mom in memory care. I have been sole person responsible for mom for 9 years. Since placing mom I've spent countless hours filling out papers, taking over accounts, setting up accounts, paying bills, cleaning out and selling house and other properties and I'm continuing to pay bills and manage her money. I am POA with brother who lives long distance but is no help and is letting me manage everything. Can I legally pay myself for services to manage her finances? If a lawyer or conservator did this what would be a fair monthly value for services? I also work full time job.

Read the POA document, often there is a clause stating whether or not you are allowed compensation for the work associated with POA duties. (I know mine/mom's says no compensation allowed)
