Can a rehab facility say their waiting list is too long?

Are you saying your mom went to rehab while she was on wait list for assisted living or a nursing home and now she will be out of rehab before she can be placed into assisted living?

If that is the case and you are looking for other options instead of returning her to her home, I would talk with a social worker about available options.

I know its hard. It sounds like your mom needs more care and going home is not an option right now. Hopefully the social worker can help find a suitable living arrangement for your mom.

Catherine, I'm not really clear on what you're asking. Is the waiting list too long for your mother to wait for admission and treatment?
