Are there any support groups for type 1 diabetics?

I think it would be helpful for my husband if he could talk with others going this. We are NOT looking for caregivers.

The American Diabetes Assoc website has a great deal of info on living with type 1 diabetes. Including local resources. Check it out at diabetes.org

Dear reneec7,

I'm sure there are lots of support groups in the community or through church. I would try talking with his nurse or doctor about where to look in the community. You can also try contacting the American Diabetes Association for help. It is always nice to find like minded people going through the same experiences.
