Mom is in long term care. I'm POA. I write a check from her account and mail priority mail to nursing home each month this way I know when its received. She is in California and I am out of state. I pay her share of cost she is on Medi-Cal. Is there a better way for nursing home to receive their payment?

For my Dad, when I paid for his senior living, the billing department was close by so I was able to use regular mail. And for his private caregiver, it was taken from my checking account and my Dad reimbursemened me.
