Halo0808 Asked July 2017

Why is my mum always in her room?

She only comes out to go to the toilet or get dinner or food/water. I need her, what do I do?

I think Halo has left the building because the writer never answered any of the questions that were asked by the writers a month ago :(

Does she have a television in her room?

My mom has lived with me for 20 plus years. She has dementia now. Prior to this year, she worked ( she loved it). She always went to her room and watched tv. I thought it was kind of normal. We ate together , shopped , had family over. But she still liked her privacy and so did we. Now , what a change a year can bring. She's rarely in her room. She's in the family room. Fox News on 12 hours a day. Kind of wish she liked her room again

Dear Halo,

I would talk to your mum's doctor about your concerns. Is your mom depressed? Needs different activities? Suffering from side effects of her medication? Has another undiagnosed health situation?

What do you need her for? Is she capable of doing more than that?
