Does it seem to make any difference what they eat?

For example--on the days I work my son serves lunch to my mom. He says it seems like on the days she has a peanut butter sandwich she is more apt to remember having lunch than on the days she has a lunch meat or tuna sandwich. Is this a fluke??

flygal, as per your profile, since your Mom has Alzheimer's/Dementia could be having a peanut butter sandwich reminds her of her childhood :)

Have your son try peanut butter and jelly.... or peanut butter and sliced banana placed inside the sandwich for a change of pace.
