My father has similar symptoms "heavy head" but none of his doctors are able to find the reason. Anyone know of this?

He is 81 and on kidney dialysis for 7 years now. It is his biggest complaint. He states it goes away when he lays down. Is it called "heavy head?" Could it in fact be due to the need to keep his potassium intake to a minimum due to dialysis? Thanks.

I can't define "heavy Head" but I know a lot about  dialysis. I have never heard anything as you have described. No I don't think it's related to potassium levels, all hemodialysis patients are on potassium restriction.
Maybe watch him at the dialysis center to see how his head is positioned? Get him one of those crescent head/neck pillows to provide support behind the neck. He can be sitting in a most uncomfortable position for 3-4 hrs while on dialysis with his chin bent on his chest. Poor dear.

Has he talked to his primary doctor about this symptom?

For me, whenever my head felt heavy, it was do to a sinus condition.
