Why does my aunt see her dead husband and father?

she said to my mum that she sees her father in front of her sometimes like as he was alive and he died when she was really young so my mum can't even remember exactly how he looked without looking at a photo. My aunt once saw her dead husband and he talked to her. she was knitting something when he said "Come on 'name' stop working you can do it later just rest" she started to respond saying "I'll work on this..." then she realized that he was dead. he repeated the sentence again so she left it (the thing she's working on) on the table and got out of the room. The thing is she sees them the way you see people in front of you who are alive and well. (She started seeing them as soon as they died)
