Mom has dementia and will only call me if she needs something and won't call my sister at all anymore. Her conversation skills are fine, so why do we not get calls from her?

She has friends at the assisted living center where she lives. The director said her conversational skills are "excellent". She is not mad at us or anything. She gets along better with my sister, so why no calls at all to her and no calls to chat with me? Thanks!

Thanks for that! She does still call me and a lady who drives her to get her hair done though.

Is it possible that she can no longer dial to reach you? You might check this when you visit and say let's call sis -- hand her the phone and see if she can do it. She may need a different phone with speed dial and typed instructions next to the phone.
