There aren't really financial benefits available for taking care of an elderly parent unless your parent can pay you to be their caregiver.
I've learned on this site that there are some instances where Medicaid will sometimes pay to have a caregiver for a few hours a week. I'd check out their website. And it's Medicaid as opposed to Medicare.
