Urinary tract infection. A common problem for elders. Can cause elders to act out similar to dementia behavior. Elders usually have no symptoms of burning or urinary pain or discomfort. If you are caring for an elder and notice their mental behavior to decline, it (UTI) is sometimes to often the reason. Ask the dr for a test. An antibiotic is prescribed and necessary to clear the infection. Some folks are more prone to have reoccurring episodes than others.
