How can I get long-term care insurance to pay up?

I recently put my father into a memory care assisted living home. Our policy states that they will cover $100.00 per day. They find a different excuse every month not to pay. Last excuse was 1 of many papers was signed but not dated. It is always something. They deal directly with the assisted living home, so I have little control. Do I need an attorney?

Yes is the short answer. This seems to be very common with LTC companies.
Sorry you are having to deal with this when you thought it was all settled. We had the same problem with private disability insurance.
