I need information of what facilities and services are available to help me move mom home.
My mom is in a nursing home in Florida since she had a stroke while on vacation and has been there over a year and i want to bring her back Home to nyc. She was approved for medicaid while there so can that be transferred here??
Medicaid is by state and she would need to requalify after she moved to NY. That's a pain because she has less than 2K to pay for moving and living expenses until she regains that status. It might be cheaper to make all your vacations to FL!
Talk to the social worker at the place she is in,, they may be able to help you. But I am afraid it could be very expensive... But they are the best place to start
