Is there a secondary POA (a backup) listed on the original POA document? That person can take over.
No one had POA for my mother (in spite of our efforts to encourage that) and we got along just fine in caring for her. I think this would have been much harder if any of the 7 of us adult children disagreed with her care plan, or if she had had financial affairs to manage.
What is your aunt no longer wanting to do? What tasks would you need to pick up from her? Do any of these tasks really require a POA?
[Note: I am NOT saying "don't bother with POAs." I realize their value. I'm just saying that in circumstances like this evaluate carefully whether court action is needed.]
