My grandfather has cancer and is being taken care of my Uncle. Will SSA give compensation to help with expenses?

The vast majority of adults do not get paid for being a caregiver to their parent.... unless the parent can pay that adult from their own retirement fund.   See if Grandfather could do that to help with the home expenses.   Your Uncle would need to prepare an employment contract if Grandfather can pay him.

Social Security doesn't have any program that would pay a caregiver.   The only program that I know is Medicaid.   If Grandfather isn't already on Medicaid, have your Uncle see if his Dad could apply and be accepted.   It depends on their State, and what programs are available.   Not all States have funds to pay a caregiver.
