I have my 2nd care plan meeting at my mother's nursing facility today. What should I expect?
The 1st one was very laid back and informal. What should i expect from these meetings that are to last no more than 15 mins? In attendance is the Head of nursing, Social worker, Food specialist and one other nurse.
They tell you how she is eating, her weight etc. How she is socially getting along, what she does interactively if anything. Her meds etc. Ask them what she needs from the store (moisturizer, toothbrush,Pajamas,sweater) Point out and ask about any changes you observe in her. Does she need a haircut? nails cut? They have the meetings every few months- I write down my questions, I find it hard to read between the lines of "Oh we LOVE her, she's wonderful" - when i know darn well she has been throwing fits.
