My mother (70) is Schizophrenic and has been for many years. Where can she go to be housed?

I have found great resources from our local Aging Partners program who help coordinate a lot of Medicare/Medicaid assistance along with other programs and they have given me the names of Assisted Living homes, HUD apartments, you name it. I didn't see your location in your profile, if you say where you are I can do a quick search, of course you can as well... ? Best of luck to you, I feel for you, I've got something not quite the same going on with my mom, but sending hugs.

If she is on Medicaid, her case worker can make the proper arrangements.
County social services will work with state mental health to find her a safe place.
