I am (76) and having quite a problem with Wal-Mart credit. Awhile back I paid my bill to them and they have never acknowledged it.

Since then from a low bill it has grown to over $200 in late fees. I have written them and their band several time and have just been ignored. I do not know what to do to stop this rising interest bill. Can you please advise me Their corporate office choses to ignore my pleas for help.

Rainmom had the same question I did -- if your bank cashed the check and you have record of it. Check your bank balance to see if the check was cashed and get a copy of the check. Then send it to the credit card people to show that you made payment. If you wrote the check but they didn't credit it, chances are they didn't receive it. If your bank cleared the check will be proof that they did receive it.

Do you have a canceled check or anything to prove you made payment?
