I was ready to donate my Dad's wheelchair when I got a bill in the mail for the rental of said chair. Good timing, I was able to return the chair.
Best bet is to go onto Google and search "places to donate used medical equipment", and scroll past the advertisements to the medical donation places. Hopefully there will be locations in your city.
