Medication evaluation at nursing home?

How do I get a NEW evaluation for meds at a NH...Mom was on 1 med before she fell and broke leg and now she 6 including heart med and blood pressure med in which she had no problems before the fall. The hosp. Dr. put her on all these meds not knowing her at all and I do not appreciate they did this without even notifying me. She now cannot even say a sentence without fumbling and it bothers and frustrates her. What can I do? Also, what is a good safe pain med that is not addictive...if there is one. My Mom took herself off aspirin a long time ago because she did not like the ingredients and now this!

I see. Does he work with the NH, or is he more hands off, and let's the NH doctor take over. I have no answer for your question :}

She has a PCP but she refuses to have anything to do with him because this is where she fell and broke her leg. What is going on in this world????

Easy answer, Money. NH and this doctor probably feel they're doing what is best for your mom. There may not be much you can do, especially if this doctor is not your mom's PCP.
