Yes, check with the attorney listed on the financial POA. They probably did the medical one too. You may not need it though. I don't think the hospital had it when my mother was dying but they asked me what to do if she stopped breathing. She was a DNR (do not resuscitate). They never asked for papers.

Yes, the Medical Power of Attorney should be worded with what ur Mom wants. With that and a no resuscitate order (doesn't need Moms signature just Doctors) u should be OK. Living will should not be needed if Medical POA has Moms wishes.

Once you locate a copy, scan it into your computer + put a copy in Evernote or Dropbox or Cloud type application. Then you'll have it available anywhere. I have done this with my uncle's documents - so I have them whether I am in Ca or AZ or out of country.

They usually ask the family, you will be able to make the decision when the time comes without the document.

If the POA was prepared by an attorney, perhaps a medical POA was prepared at the same time, and he/she has the original. Once you get that copy, make copies of it, and give a copy to any medical doctor or facility. I had to get a copy from my mother's attorney because the hospital kept the original, and I didn't realize it at the time. Hope this helps.
