Where does a nursing home resident get help when abused in a nursing home?

Fractured bones in my back - took away my walker denying me the right to walk - not getting tended to when needed - constant lies - turning everything around that I say - finding every way they can to make me miserable - come read my diary - you won't believe it

Victim1952, are you the victim in question or are you writing on that person's behalf? Why I ask is that your profile says you are caring for someone.

Why are you or the person you are caring for in a nursing home? Is it mobility issues? Sounds like you/her could be a fall risk, could be the reason why your/her walker was taken away from you/her or the nursing home want the breaks in your/her back to heal first. Curious what did the nursing home do to cause you/her to fall?

I did and I even had to get a legal aid lawyer to get an xray when they fractured my back. The list of neglect and abuse is endless. It's a nightmare. I told my ombudsman I want out of here. She can't do a thing about it.
