My husband is on Namenda, however the doctor will not diagnose him. What can I do?

my husband works full time and drives himself to work every night (5 days) the doctor wants my husband to take drivers test because of" memory problems".
my husband does not want to take test and now doesn't want to go back ......
my question is can the doctor cause legal problems for us if my husband does not do the drivers test? I don't know what to do?

Where I live the doctor is mandated to report to the MTO... equivalent to your DMV... anything that could cause problems with driving. Most doctors wuss out on that though and rely on their patients to police themselves, so it depends on how far your doctor is willing to take things. I would think that someone who is capable of putting in a full week of work is probably still fine to drive, but as Windy points out, be alert for any danger signs.

The more immediate concern is, can your husband still drive safely? If he is dangerous on the road, is in an accident, hurts or kills someone you could face serious lawsuits. Would you ride with him? Put kids in the car with him? Is he getting list or banging up the car?
