Parent with mild mental retardation. Any help or suggestions?

Anyone taking care of a parent who has the mind of a child, no older than 10 years old. Sight issues, psych issues, etc.....

I recently went to an Alzheimer's Conference. The expert neurologist from UC San Diego said that all persons with Downs Syndrome will develop Alzheimers so you may want to take care in the placement to know that they will be able to take care of her as her circumstances change.

Group Home would take them if they are under 65. Over 65 look at a memory care facility.
