How often can a person take antibiotics for UTI?

tiredII Mar 2016
If they are getting utis frequently then they can consult with the dr to see if they can be prescribed an antibiotic to take daily as a preventative. These are onky certain types at a specificlow dose. The risk of too much treatment with antibiotcs is c.diff diarrhea as pam stated, also developing resistant uti. While on antibiotics , florastor an over the counter probiotic yeast is helpful in preventing diarrhea as long as they dont have a central line.

Depends on the antibiotic. Strong ones like Cipro can wipe out gut flora and you end up with C-Diff in no time at all.
