Where to find a pet friendly senior living?

Are there any low income senior living facilities who allow pets?

I meant to say animals could be a fall risk for the aged.

Be aware as you age while you may want a cat or dog, they, quite likely, be a fall hazard!

I have a beautiful black and white tux cat living with me who I would love to have live with me in a senior apartment - he and I are lost without one another. He sleeps in my bed with me, he loves to watch me take a bath, he's litter trained, and he's such a delight. I would like it if the senior apartment I land in would allow two cats; then, my cat would have a brother or a sister to play with

Some places allow pets, the question is the size of the pet. Ones that do allow small dogss and cats. Make sure they are crate trained. Set up care if the person has to go to the hospital. If it is a dog, make sure it is housebroken, and knows basic commands.. I train my dog to go to a crate by the door when I say firebox. make sure that crate has wheels that work well and a handle that is long enough to roll the animal out in an emergency. Have the pet groomed often. Also set up what would happens if the person dies who would come and get the pet. Type this all out and have it ready when u apply to a place. It helps that they know all the bases are covered.

Just have to say, the resident has to be able to take care of the pet. Don't expect personel to do it.

Many senior apartments allow pets. Low income senior housing usually has long waiting lists so get your name on one asap

Your town's Council on Aging.

Your best bet is to contact your local Council on Aging to see if they have a list of low income senior housing that allow pets. https://www.agingcare.com/local/Area-Agency-on-Aging
