I have been put out on private disability from my company but will have to apply to SS disability. Advice?

I need to put down all sources of income will me being on my mother's account influence their decision for Social Security disability and when I turn 65 in 3 years if there is any money left because she doesn't have very much will it be considered my income if she is no longer living ?

You do not have to exhaust other sources of income before getting SSDI. That is totally false.

There are others on here who are experts. You can hire a social security lawyer who will take their fees from your first benefit payment, and this amount is limited by law.

You can explain it. But keep your funds separate. I have read on here that SSI issues are more complicated, deducting from benefits when two or more are living in the home.
SSDI will require you to collect from all other sources before qualifying you for disability. Such as unemployment and private disability first.

It won't affect SSD but it will prevent you from getting SSI. No hiding it now, the feds can track everything. Never co-mingle funds.
