Can my Mom get VA nursing home benefits since she is the widow of a Veteran?

Mom receives a VA check from Dad's death. Mom has late stage dementia and will need full time nursing care soon.

VA does not cover nursing home, but the widow of a veteran can get Aid and Attendance at home, which may be more than the pension survivors benefits. Aid & Attendance may enable her to stay in her home longer. Go up to the Money and Legal Tab and click on Veterans Assistance.
