I had 24 /7 long term care in NY but I moved to FL and am getting no where. Any advice?
i need help with my daughter who is severly mentally reatarded and muntiple handicap and i went to every where possible but i am getting no where. She is on ssi and medicaid which use to cover all her needs. I need some advise please
Have you contacted your local Area Agency on Aging? Every county in the US has one. They are often called "Aging and Disability Resource Centers" and act as a clearing house of sorts for all state and federal programs that may be able to assist her. Do a search for Area Agency on Aging in your county. Unfortunately Florida does a very poor job taking care of needy populations. Remember: You vote counts!
first i am in ARKANSAS, but the organizations here that deal with elderly help the young and disabled. ALSO CALL MEDICARE NUMBER THEY CAN HOOK YOU UP WITH ALL HELP IN THE AREA
Listen to the people who responded above. You will find the right resources. I live in Florida and know the state has excellent resources for the care of people like your daughter.
