If I am staying in Moreno Valley and have an appointment in Riverside. I am recuperation from a femur factor operaton and have no one to take me to the doctor appointment.
Contact the public transit organizations in your area and ask about point to point transport. If they have, the smaller buses will pick you up at your door and take you to your destination. There may be some mileage limitations though so ask about that.
You could also research to find local medical transport operations.
Are you recuperating at home? If you're in a rehab facility, ask them to help find transportation for you. The social workers should be able to do some of the research for you.
Call your local agency on aging and see what they recommend. If you are wheelchair bound, there are medical transport services that can wheel you into the van while you are in the wheelchair. My Mom had that and it was surprisingly comfortable.
