Once POA is issued, does any previous documents issuing medical authority become null and void?

My oldest sister n i was given joint poa ow does that void any papers given my brother n I jojbt medjcal power?

esmallwood, I see in your profile that your mother has Alzheimer's/Dementia... as your know only your mother can authorize a new Power of Attorney for herself and appoint who will represent her as her POA. Would she be able to do that? An attorney would not allow her to sign if he/she felt your mother wouldn't understand the legal documents.

Newer documents nullify the older ones. Often that is written write in the document.

Poa covers her medical but brother had a previous medical that he n i share but we had a new PIA drawn with financial n medical for okdest sister n I shoukd previous joint medical before yhe new PIA BE null n void?

Medical and financial POA may be two separate documents. Is that the case here?
