Regular onesies or union suits won't do any good if he can get them off, for example if they zip down the front. Look under adaptive clothing for similar items that open down the back. They are available because many people have problems like your father or have a problem with taking off their clothes and running through the nursing home. Once you are looking at an adaptive clothing site you may get some other ideas.

For washing, I love stain-removing products carried in Baby stores, for organic messes. I've used gallons of Totally Toddler! And buy bedding that can be bleached. It is generally easier to wash several thin layers than very thick layers.

Yes, try putting onesie or onsie into the search box and you will find several threads. Or you could just go right to google and search for 'adult onesies'.

As for clean up. nothing gets the stains out like good old fashioned elbow grease. I find that oxygen laundry boosters help with the odor, as well as bleach of course (but don't go overboard, it only takes a little).
I would think anything both warm and disposable would be prohibitively expensive, you would probably be better off looking for cheap flannel sheets and fleece blankets (at the thrift store perhaps?) and treating them as disposables.

I have read on this site about clothes designed for male dementia patients that are like a jumpsuit and they are not able to remove them. This would prevent him from taking the diaper off and save from the mess and him lying there being uncomfortable. I would explore that route. I don't know of any disposable blankets and sheets.

I kind of thought he himself was causing some of this. Put him in adult onesies. Here's one made especially for Alzheimer's patients to prevent diaper access.

Yes, he uses depends but often takes them off at night. (He suffers from dementia). I'm hoping someone knows of a source for disposable blankets or covers we might try.

I'm assuming he wears some sort of adult protection like Depends. That is certainly the first step. Mom had a hospital bed in my home prescribed by the doctor and paid for by Medicare. Its mattress was a vinyl waterproof material. I did not use a bottom sheet. I used a Clorox bleach wipe to clean it when necessary.

I'm thinking, if it's getting all over blankets, etc., you need to use a full on adult diaper...?
