Does Tennessee have caregiver employment through in-home support services?
In California I have been the caregiver for my son for the past 9 years after a traumatic brain injury. He cannot live alone. I have been employed through In Home Support Services.
If he is on Medi-Cal, that ends as soon as you leave California. You would have to reapply in Tennessee (TennCare) and I suspect you would be on a waiting list. Moving from state to state can be a real nightmare.
I live in CA also. The Tennessee information may be looked up by Googling for a website. This in-home support service is a tough situation, and I would like to learn more from other Agingcare members what they think or know.
