My Dad served in the Army while he was married to my Mom. They divorced and he never remarried. Can my Mom get VA benefits?

He passed away. My father was drafted and served in the Army for two years while he and my Mom were married. They divorced 10 years later. My father never remarried. He passed away in the VA hospital in Augusta, Ga in 2005. My Mom is now 72 and suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, stoke, lupus and Lewy's Body disease ( a type of dementia). Is she eligible for any VA benefits?

That's an interesting question.... your best bet is to contact the VA office to she if she would qualify because of the number of years she was married to your Dad, or if she is too late in asking for such benefits [ten years after your father had passed].
