How do you chat with each other while caring for your loved ones?

I love you guys! This forum is a lifesaver. It's so hard for me to carry my computer to my mother's room when she needs me almost 24/7. On top of that I have a child and expecting another. How do you connect with each other? Do you text each other?

I really need a more immediate outlet. I feel so emotionally tired.

Hi Jenny, I just read your profile, so sorry to read that your Mom is dealing with cancer. What are her prognoses? Can she take care of herself with you helping here and there, or does she want you in her room all day and all night?

You need to bring in a trained Caregiver to help you out, or is your Mom under Hospice care?

You may need to be available, but nobody needs to have their hand held 24/7. If you feel you can't even leave her room for some personal time you will burn out quickly. You need to set some realistic boundaries and schedule some time to get away on your own.

Jenny, you can respond to any of the posts on the site. You can also click on individual screen names and bring up member profiles. You can leave messages for people on their message boards and exchange info in private messages. Trust me. I'm a digital dunce. If I can use this site anybody can. Talk at ya later, WR
