How can I become my Mom's live-in caregiver and get paid for it?

We live in Dade county. My mom is 88, is diabetic and she has many complications like circulation problems and develop of dementia.

One way to get paid is for your Mom to pay you. Set up an employment agreement stating the number of hours you will work, the pay per hour, what days you would have off, and if Mom will be paying the payroll taxes or if you pay the payroll taxes from your wages.

Otherwise, call Medicaid to see if your Mom would qualify... if yes, then Medicaid could send to you a certified caregiver to help out for a few hours during the day.
