Find Care & Housing
Majority of grown children do not get paid for caring for their elderly parent, unless the parent is financially able to pay from their own pocket. If a parent can afford to pay you, the parent might as well hire a certified trained caregiver… thus allowing you to keep or look for a full-time job so you will have retirement funds.

Alabama has a "Personal Choices" program under Medicaid. This is managed care, they do provide in home care. BUT Medicaid will NOT pay a relative living in the home. Services have to be through a licensed agency who has a contract with the state. It is also called "Cash and Counseling" leading some to believe family can be paid. Not so.
