Is it ok for a CNA to swab patient's mouth if there is a lot of mucus secretion build up?
It's at the back of throat and at the jaw line.

Certainly I would, but to cover my axx I would also get a written order from the MD. He will want to know the frequency, quantity and color of mucus. If you can, also note the patient's temp, BP, heart rate and O2 % and pupil status.
