Does Medicaid Michigan cover hearing aids?

kereachi5 Apr 2015
I am almost 75 & I've worn an aid since 1954. My hearing gets worse every year. I need a high powered aid that I can wear even when I sweat so bad my head just drips sweat. How can I get a newer aid when I only get 700 per month, I have 65 per monthfrom SSI. My medicare is my primary insurance. Please help me?

MDCH Medicaid covers the following services when provided by a designated hearing aid dealer or licensed audiologist affiliated with a hearing center.
 Hearing aids and delivery
 Hearing aid repairs and modifications
 Replacement earmolds
 Hearing aid supplies and accessories
 Replacement of hearing aid batteries
 Alternative listening devices for beneficiaries over age 21
NOT every hearing aid center is on the state Medicaid contract. You have to ask them if they take Medicaid.
