Is there all day and overnight care for just a few days while I leave for a small vacation?
My husband is 76 and I believe he has dementia.

there is respite care which will care for your family member for a short term.

There are agencies that will send caregivers in. You can call local assisted living facilities that may do temporary respite stays.
When you get back, take him for a neuropsych workup to determine what is going on.
