If my aunt doesn't get approval for Medicaid, what do I do for her care?

she is living care with a living in that her money is paying for this. Her money is running out. Can I just use her pension and ss check for the nursing home if I can. Thank you help in jersey.

Sounds like maybe she has a live in caregiver and her money is running out? Need better information!

"she is living care with a living in that her money is paying for this."

I don't know what this means.

Your aunt is in a nursing home and is going through the Medicaid process. Is there any reason to believe she won't be approved?

The nursing home is probably letting her stay because she is in the process of being approved for Medicaid. Your aunt's pension and social security check are going towards her care at the nursing home but it's not enough which is why she needs Medicaid. Paying the nursing home only your aunt's social security check and pension isn't enough. Since Medicaid is pending the nursing home will get their back pay from your aunt once Medicaid is approved and that's why they're letting her stay there until she's approved for Medicaid.

If your aunt isn't approved for Medicaid the nursing home probably won't let her stay.
