How do I get in contact with a social worker?

And that person work with me in preparing a complete plan of care for my mother of 92? She lives alone in her house located in Woodway,Texas.

Yes, the local Area On Aging is a great place to start. Her finances will be an issues, as well, if they are low, then they will guide you on options avalable in your state. Is she of sound mind, and does she have POA's in tact?, get hold of a local Elder care attorney, so they can guide you on the process. That being said, you may have a difficult time talking on her behalf without such papers in place. I know when I did my mother's I had a second person on the papers, in case I became incapable. One who would do well in her best interest. I have a neice, who now is a Dr. This person can also help with needs, and you can work as a team. I wish you well, and use all the recources you can, so both of you can have peace of mind.

I have a social worker coming through the VNA today to talk options. Hoping they clarify things for me. The VNA has helped a lot.

Or try searching for certified geriatric care managers in your area.
