Anyone dealing with Lewy Body?

There are no taxis in our small town -- no buses either. As long as we make all dr. appoints on a Wed. our daughter will take us in (that's her day off.) Don't know what to do about other local errands, like mailing a letter, grocery shopping, etc.

Oh, if you go that route, call a regular taxi company and use a few drivers and ask them if you can call them direct. Here in the Chicago suburbs, they're VERY happy to do it. (Tom doesn't use a dispatcher, so everybody calls him direct.)

My significant other owns a taxi. The main part of his business is picking up seniors and taking them shopping, out to lunch, to church, to friends' homes, to the doctor, etc., etc. If you have the budget, that's a wonderful alternative. He's like a private chauffeur. The ladies love him, and he often sings "Happy Trails" to then in the car. ;) ;)

Thanks, Maggie, but that is not an option. I know how and have a license, but my periferial vision is off and I can't really judge where my right fender is. I haven't driven for seven years now.

Time for you to learn how to drive. If the doctors are telling your husband he shouldn't be driving, then that's your answer: he shouldn't be driving.
