my mum is 77yrs old and had problems sleeping all her life until the dementia now ive noticed that shes sleeping alot but if shes not moving walking around going out shes bound to be tired but yes ive noticed her sleeping more than usual but shes not depressed or anything so i let her be? maybe with your husband its just old age? OR he may be a bit depressed maybe get his doctor to see him?

Tantamve, has your husband been prescribed any new medicines? Sometimes new meds can make one very sleepy.

I had that problem when I first started taking pills for high blood pressure, I was zoned out..... eventually the pills were adjusted and I am not quite as tired.

Otherwise, get hubby to your primary doctor for a check up. Maybe something else is going on that can be corrected. Like his thyroid.
