You contact the person who hired hospice.

Who is responsible for this woman?

Whose home was this? Does this person have durable and medical powers of attorney for the care of your mother, and authority to bring in hospice?

Normally you would call Adult Protective Services in the county in which the home resides.

The mosquitoes would be my biggest concern; spiders aren't unusual in houses, unless they're black widows and/or brown recluses and if there are a signifcant number of them. But mosquitoes on someone's face is not acceptable.

Does the person caring for your mother have any experience in caregiving, and was it him or her who selected the hospice company? Do you know the name of the hospice company?
