Does one qualify for serving during the Vietnam era say 1968-1972?

Second question what they did not serve in country in Vietnam?

The veteran gets more aid than the surviving spouse, but the aid is based on expenses and needs vs income and assets. A good ALF will assist you by referring you to an aid expert. You will need a lot of records in hand, like discharge papers, marriage certificates and bank statements.

Anyone that was in the military qualifies for VA assistance . This is true for surviving spouses of vets. It seems to be one of the best kept secrets of VA. Lots of people told us she wouldn't qualify, but they do. Check out this site: http://www.veteranaid.org/program.php
or check with your local VA
My mom gets assistance for Assisted Living expenses. $2000/month seems a bit high, I think it's around $1300.
Good luck.

Aid in providing in home care for veteran. I heard the Va will help both in home for the care giver ($) and also for an assisted living center. I heard a WW 2 vet receving 2,000 per month and was wondering if the Vietnam era vets qualify for the same?
