How can I get a Medical Alert System for my sick elderly parents?

Are there any programs where my mother and father can apply for a free Medical Alert System? They have cardiac and diabetic issues and have fallen in the past few months, we are afraid if one of them falls while the other is out of the home and can't get to a telephone?

I do not know of any free Medical Alert System but I have seen where the government has warned that there is a scam offering them for free. It said people were being robo called and told the government or their insurance would cover it. It is not true. The closest thing I know is a cellphone that offers the service, plus you can set it to call your parents and if they don't answer it will contact you or emergency services.
