Do they end up choking to death?

Thank you all for answering question about end stage PD. Now have another one at end stage. What exactly does that mean when someone with end stage PD and they stop talking. Does that mean death is near? I'm worried, don't feel like I'm being informed enough by hospice of what is going on. When hopsice was with us when dad was passing the nurse was with us telling us step by step on what was going on so I'm confused.

No but often they are clinically dead, the brain has stopped, the pupils dilated and the lungs still attempt to inflate and you hear a gasp once a minute. The heartbeat will be faint, stop, beat, stop. At the end you hear a gurgle when the lungs fully deflate and moisture seeps out of the airways. That is not choking, it's just a final step. Easy to explain, but hard to witness.
